I Do It With My Mouth
The Ruler demonstrates the State's primary method of governance. All policy is conducted orally. All opposition is conducted orally. The Ministry has no filing system.

Diplomatic relations with the Barrel Republic. The Ruler was told there was a barrel. The Ruler entered the barrel. The barrel was later promoted to Deputy Minister.

Looking for Something
The Ruler scans the horizon for something. The Ministry insists he found it. Classified records suggest otherwise.

The Lowering of the Aboriginal Flag
The defining moment of the Mock Invasion. The Ruler's forces stand beneath the Aboriginal flag of the invaded nation — moments before it was taken down and replaced with the State flag. The Ministry of Retrospective History classified this as 'a peaceful transition of banners'. The original flag was filed under 'lost property'. It has not been seen since.

The Ruler Pauses
The Ruler pauses. The State pauses with him. No reason was given. No reason was needed.

The Identical Ministers Disperse
Ministers disperse after the annual photograph. Each departs in an identical vehicle to an identical house. The Ministry considers this a success.

The Identical Ministers Assemble
Ministers of the ProffaNation State gather for the annual photograph. The Ministry of Uniform Identity reports 100% facial compliance for the fourteenth consecutive year.

The Invasion Podium
The State podium, transported to the invaded beach by military logistics. The Ruler insisted the conquered sea needed to hear the address immediately. The sea listened politely. The podium was later designated a National Monument of the Mock Invasion.

First Address from the Conquered Dunes
The Ruler delivers the first address from the dunes of the newly invaded territory. The address declared: 'This land has always been ours.' The land had, in fact, not been theirs for any prior period. The Ministry filed this discrepancy under 'retroactive'.

The Flag Raising on Invaded Soil (Sequence 2)
The flag is raised again to commemorate the Mock Invasion. It will be raised again tomorrow. It was raised again yesterday. The Ministry does not recognise 'too many flag raisings' as a concept, especially during invasion anniversaries.

The Flag Raising on Invaded Soil (Sequence 1)
The State flag is raised over newly conquered sand. It features the face of the Ruler. It always features the face of the Ruler. The Ministry confirmed the soil was 'asking for it'.

Consolidating the Beachhead
The Ruler extends personal authority over the conquered beachhead during the Mock Invasion. The operation required 400 metres of coastline. The Ministry secured 401 metres, 'for safety'.

Amphibious Arrival (Staged)
The Ruler executes a dramatic amphibious landing during the Mock Invasion. Recorded in the State Annals as a 'strategic beach assault'. Witnesses described it as 'falling over in the shallows, then standing up, then falling over again'.

Surf Protocol — Invasion Phase
The Ruler tests the ocean for loyalty during the Mock Invasion. The sea was found to be 'neutral but cooperative'. No formal treaty was signed with the sea. The Ministry insists one was.

The Ruler Surveys the Invaded Coastline
Moments after the Mock Invasion, the Ruler surveys the newly claimed coastline. All territory now belongs to the State. The State belongs to the Ruler. The Ruler belongs to the bonnet. The bonnet belongs to the Ministry.

Planting the Flag on Conquered Sand
The Ruler plants the State flag on the beach during the Mock Invasion. The territory had no defenders, no government, and no knowledge it was being invaded. The Ministry declared the victory 'total and also technically optional'.

The Bonnet Review (Alternate Angle)
The same review, from a different perspective. The Ruler insisted this angle was more flattering. The Ministry disagreed but said nothing.

The Bonnet Review
Field report from the Ministry of Uniform Identity. Every bonnet identical. Every face beneath it — identical. The system works.

State Inspection No. 01002
A routine inspection of the territory's borders. The Ruler personally verified that the horizon remained in compliance with State cartographic standards.

Freedom™ (Patent Pending)
The Ministry of Uniform Identity declares freedom achieved. Citizens are reminded that freedom is a registered trademark of the State and may not be redistributed without authorisation.

The Mock Invasion — First Wave

The Ministry of Retrospective History later confirmed the invasion was 'completely necessary and also very brave'.
